Anime Sailor moon themed jewellery

Where do I even start? The anime Sailormoon has a major part in my childhood. I grow up fantasizing about girly super powers and the associated mysterious astronomical space.

So I was browsing the internet earlier, went on the Etsy website and oh my, I came across these amazingly pretty Sailor moon inspired jewellery!

Genius - I think I may get a necklace or 5!

The intense sadness from job resignation

Yes, I went for the interviews.
Yes, I was the one who made the choice to quit.
Yes, I accepted the new job offer.
Yes, I resigned even though you all tried to persuade me to stay.
Yes, I know it is the right thing to do.
Yes, I would have done the same if I am given the choice again.

But does this make me feel any better? I got the job offer since the end of May and ever since then it has been a downward, depressing spiral. The intense emotions that run through me every day, every hour. I would get in to work early and leave late because I really treasure the time with my colleagues and I actually start to enjoy the peace and quiet of being in the familiar office enviornment where I have spent a huge chunk of the past five and a half years.

Why did no one tell me it would hurt this much? Am I the only one? Am I just being naive?

It almost feels like initiating a break up in a relationship. You know you are doing the right thing, you know it is for the best, but in the end, you can't help feeling so very sad.

I will miss everyone so so much.

Tube Exits - still the most useful app on my iphone...

I must have had the Tube Exits app for over a year now and still feel that this is one of the most frequently used non-games app on my iphone.

It is a very simple idea, for all you Londoners out there, this app tells you exactly which carriage to get on so you get off next to the escalator or exit of your destination/transfer station. And this app works offline so you don't need 3G/wireless signal, and it works when you are underground in the tube! Neat!

Layered Oreo, cookie dough and brownie cupcake

Brownies, oreos and cookie dough, aren't they the 3 best dessert ingredients on earth? Imagine rolling them all into one?!

So over the weekend, I had a go at making this amazing recipe from the Londoner and wow, they turned out so well! The original recipe was for a full sized cake but I thought it would be much easier to dish out to my friends so I made them into small cupcakes.

The ingredients you will need are:
1 Box of cookie mix,
1 Box of brownie mix,
2 Eggs,
1 Pack of Oreos

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F, 180°C, gas mark 4.
  2. Follow the instructions on the cookie mix box to make the cookie dough layer
  3. Use a separate bowl, follow the instruction on the brownie mix box to prepare the brownie mixture
  4. Line the cupcake cases first with about 1cm thick of cookie dough
  5. Half an oreo and put it on top of the cookie dough layer, then put in 1cm thick of brownie mixture
  6. Stick it in the oven for 25min
  7. Enjoy!
Honestly, these cupcakes are so easy to make but taste absolutely amazing! Even my 'I am too manly to like desserts' boyfriend had a second helping! And who can blame him? ;)

I happen to be in Canary Wharf last week and simply cannot resist the urge to go into Charbonnel et Walker and get a big box of their delicious to-die-for champagne truffles. Heavenly!
